No one really knew what they had been getting themselves into. All that was assumed was that it was game, nothing other than that.

Then they were met with the realization that that wasn't quite as true as they assumed. As soon as the meteors started falling; everything normal washed down the drain into the liquid abyss. Only then did the realization that they doomed their world. Loved ones were lost, regrets were born; guilt and sadness pooled in the recesses of minds.

So now, as a shaded male stares back in the direction of once they all came, he can’t help but go back to those times. Those times where she would come over and hang out with him, listen to some sick beats; get into casual conversations with his bro with the occasional smuppet war thrown in; where bro would try to get one of those disgusting plush rumps in their faces, and they just did not want to be scarred for life.

Those times weren’t coming back. They were long gone. With his only bro gone and his love stolen with the fire all that was left was the ticking of the clock. Nothing felt the same anymore; and those times were slowly getting drained away by the same thing that now made his being. Days would go by and not a mention or thought of it would come back.

Now, looking back at where he once came, the all-too-cool Dave Strider couldn’t feel less alone. His girlfriend wasn’t there with him; his brother wouldn’t be there for him anymore. He was accompanied by only the time that continued beside him.

This stupid game had brought about more pain than expected.  One thing was for sure;

They will win this game.

He will win this game.

For his brother.

For the love that never faded.

He won’t lose.
